Image is a close up view looking from the bottom of the sail on deck upward at WEATHERLY's mainsail with, "12 / US17" in red toward the top with a partial view of the varnished mast. Image believed to be part of a series of shakedown cruise images taken after her launching June, 1958. WEATHERLY, US #17, was a 69 ft. 12 meter sloop, designed by Philip L. Rhodes and built by Luders Marine Construction Company in 1958 for Henry D. Mercer, Arnold D. Frese and Cornelius S. Walsh of New York, NY.
