7x5 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons during the time of the New York Yacht Club Cruise in August of 1937. Image of LARIKIN undersail, port quarter view, mainsail close-hauled and spinnaker set. LARIKIN was a NY32' class sloop, sail #NY10, previously called HELEN, then LARIKIN and later WHISPER II, SOUBRETTE, BETISE, BARUNITA, FLYING TARTAN and TENDERLY. She was a 45'4" Sparkman & Stephens, Inc. sloop later converted to a yawl in 1953. LARIKIN was owned by George Whitney of New York from 1937 to 1941. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "83503F / [Box] 4389".
