Mears (1829-1899); white linen handkerchief with embroidered monogrammed "N" in one corner, surrounded by embroidered border of flowers; handkerchief folded and held in a floral printed paper sleeve; most likely belonged to Nellie Mears, sent to her by Richard C. Mears on February 2, 1883 from California; printed on back of card "TREASURE MASTERS/ 10 NP 12/ Minneapolis U.S.A."; two stickers on handkerchief; printed on sticker one "Malfred"; printed on sticker two "PURE LINEN/ COTTON DECORATION/ MADE IN CHINA".
