Ring; Thin band ring; from the collection of Captain Richard C. Mears (1829-1899); thin band ring, possibly gold plated, with an inscription on the inside, possibly belonging to Nellie G. Mears, or her husband, J.D. Van Valkenburgh (though ring looks like it was small enough for a woman's hand); engraved on the inside "J D V V".
