Mears; metal printing plate mounted on a wooden block, which reads "CHENANGO VALLEY STOCK FARMS" above a stylized image of the letters C, V, S, and F combined together, with "TRADE MARK / REGISTERED" printed below; print block came wrapped in a piece of brown paper; handwritten on the top, outer flap of the paper is "Original Engraving/ Chenango Valley Stock Farms/ J.D. Van Valkenburgh"; handwritten on inside flap of the paper is "H. Pa?an & Son/ 352 Pearl St."
