View of VIM, undersail, striped spinnaker set, mainsail close-hauled on a starboard beam view. VIM, #US15, was a 70' 12 meter class sloop, designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc. of City Island, New York in 1939. Her new owner in 1951 was John Matthews who raced her the America's Cup trials in 1958.
