5x7 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons at the end of the New London Races and before the time of the Harvard-Yale Races on June 20, 1930. Elevated view of the tender launch of GUINEVERE, under power, starboard quarter view, running on the Thames River off New London, Connecticut with many young people on board and three crew. GUINEVERE(2nd) was a three-masted 195' auxiliary schooner built in 1921 by Lawley & Son Corporation of Neponset, Massachusetts from designs by A. Loring Swasey. She was the second vessel of same name owned by Edgar Palmer starting in 1921 until 1941. Typed neg. sleeve info.: "40087F". Stamped: "NEW LONDON RACES 1930".
