Image is a long shot of the vessel CHEROKEE, #US53, undersail, port beam view. CHEROKEE was a 37'3" 6 Meter Class sloop designed by Sparkman & Stephens,Inc. design #10, and built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc., of City Island, New York in 1930. She was owned by Herman F. Whiton until 1935. Stamped: "73096F / INTL 6 METRE 1935 [Box] 4218". Handwritten: "6 / U.S.53".
