3 1/4" x 4" emulsion on glass negative photographed copied by Rosenfeld and Sons. Image is of the McCormick Building, built in 1910, a large 20 floor plus skyscraper of its time. The building was owned by Colonel Robert R. McCormick, a controversial visionary who served as editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. He lived in the McCormick until his death in 1955. The image is outlined with black paper and taped with red tape at the edges to a secondary glass piece to protect the emulsion. Object has a handwritten red and white paper caption glued at the right side and a small, round, red dot in the lower left corner. Image is not original but copied by the Rosenfelds from possibly postcards, old books, etc. The Rosenfeld given numbers on each object corresponds with the dates of being copied as ca. 1923. A small, white piece of handwritten paper caption was glued to the right of image and reads: "McCormick Bld. 1909-12. / Chicago - / Graham, Anderson, Probst and White / 17143 - Rosenfeld" and handwritten in red pencil, "23".
