Natural fiber fishing net with shell and rock weights and wooden floats; possibly used onboard the YANKEE during 1932-1933 voyage around the world. Net made out of thin natural fiber secured to twine (likely made out of same material); trapezoidal wooden floats tied to the twine on one side, mixed varieties of small shells and rocks tied to the twine on the opposite side. Shells include cowrie shells and slipper shells, additional shells cut into small shapes and could not be identified. Overall fair condition. Overall: 12 x 144 in.
