35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in August, 1980, off Newport, Rhode Island. Image of FREEDOM, US#30, close hauled on a starboard tack with crew on the starboard rail, starboard bow view. FREEDOM was a 63' 12 meter, launched in 1979 by the Minneford Yacht Yard of City Island, New York, and designed by Sparkman & Stephens, Inc. She was the America's Cup 1980 defender and winner. Stamped in blue ink on surface of mount: "PHOTO BY / STANLEY ROSENFELD", in black ink: "30 AUG 80N11" and handwritten in black ink: "Freedom 1980".
