overall: 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in.

A postcard from the maiden voyage of the MORRO CASTLE, signed by the captain, Joseph E. Jones and postmarked August 26, 1930 at Havana, with a blue handstamp that says MORRO CASTLE. Captain Jones signed the card "Best Regards" and address it to Mr. Brony J. Pzymber of Brooklyn, NY. The front of the postcard has a painting of the ship by Fred J. Hoertz, and the back of the card references both MORRO CASTLE and its sister ship ORIENTE (which Captain Jones would go on to command). Someone has glued a yellow piece of paper with the words "Maiden trip "Morro Castle" Aug. 23" to the top of the card. Cancellation stamps on both the front and back also say "Buy Cuban Sugar."
