Image is a starboard beam view of tug LION covered in ice, underway on the East River looking toward Manhattan with the Brooklyn Bridge and the Hartford Line building in the background. There are three men on deck and two men looking out from the top of a Dutch door. The stack bears the logo: NLSE Co (New London Ship & Engine Company - a division of Electric Boat). LION was built in Groton, CT. There was a total eclipse of the sun the day this image was made - January 24, 1925. Stamped on the original negative sleeve: "14323F" and "[box] 1219".
