Red Adidas sneakers, size 8 1/2, worn by Jen Dexter, 38th Voyage crew member during the CHARLES W. MORGAN's 38th Voyage in 2014. Shoes are red suede with three white stripes on each side, signifying the Adidas brand. Soles made of rubber; laces likely cotton. A note written by Jen Dexter was included with the sneakers and reads: "These are a pair of shoes I bought the day before I arrived on the Morgan. I wore them every day aloft, rigging and sailing from the day I arrived to the day I left. There were once fire extinguisher red." Overall fair to poor condition due entirely to daily wear; entire surface dirtied from oil, dirt, mud, etc., rubber soles dried out and do not bend. Overall: 3 3/8 x 4 x 11 in. (each shoe).
