6x8 glass negative photographed by Morris Rosenfeld circa 1911 at the time of the Columbia Yacht Club Regatta, held in the Hudson River in New York. Image shows a port bow view of the participants at the start of the cruisers race. The screw launch SPINDRIFT is the second vessel from the right; the other vessels are unidentified. Buildings are visible on the river bank in the background. Written on the emulsion side of the negative: "17". Written on the original negative sleeve: "Columbia Y.C. / Box 38 [crossed out] / start / plate 297 [crossed out] #290 / Box 25 [crossed out and rewritten]".
