6x8 glass negative photographed by Morris Rosenfeld in September 1911 at the time of the International Trophy Races held in Huntington Bay, Long Island, New York. Image shows a starboard quarter view of the schooner-rigged screw steamer PIONEER, dressed ship, at rest, with many people on board. PIONEER was used as the committee boat. Smaller vessels are around PIONEER, and a treed shoreline with a large structure, possibly a yacht club, is visible in the background. Written on the original negative sleeve: "International M. B. Race / Committee boat" and stamped: "PLATE NO." and written: "334 [crossed out] #322 / Box 28". CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, Rosenfeld Collection.
