Fabric measuring tape with metal pull tab, enclosed in a color lithographed, round metal case; identical sides of case show a large passenger riverboat near shore and read "S.S. ADMIRAL / AT ST. LOUIS ON THE MISSISSIPPI"; the S.S. ADMIRAL was built in 1940 on the hull of an earlier cargo vessel, the ALBATROSS (blt1907) as the largest inland passenger steamer at the time; interior architecture was done by Maizie Krebs (1900-1993), for Streckfus Steamers.
