Reverse: “#9064 Yankee's stern/ from top of the of main mast. 3 barrels of/ oil is stored on deck on starboard side/ as extra fuel on long passages. Some/ times 3 months go by before diesel oil/ can be obtained for the auxiliary./ On the port side are a few extra/ bags of coal for the galley stove” (handwritten, black ink);"RA Dillon" (stamp, blue ink).
