8-3/8 x 10-3/4 in. gelatin print mounted on 8-1/2 x 10-7/8 in. cardboard. Image of three Seawanhaka knockabout sloops, two undersail and one at anchor at Sachem's Head, Connecticut . The dark-hulled sloop in center is Mystic Seaport's Herreshoff knockabout KITTIWAKE (1974.929) with P/130 on mainsail. KITTIWAKE was a 30'5" sloop built in 1905 by Herreshoff Manufacturing Company of Bristol, Rhode Island from designs by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff. She was later renamed as LOUISE. Handwritten in pencil on back, "Kittywake[sic] (in black) & other Sewanika[sic.] Knockabouts at Sachem's Head, Conn". CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, General Collection.
