DOLLAR Steamship Line menu for dinner aboard SS PRESIDENT HOOBER on 16 September, 1932. Folded, with a color line drawing of a Sikh soldier and a caption lauding Singapore opposite the menu. The front cover features a four-color illustration of a man in loose white clothing leading an ox team that pulls a cart with peaked roof over its driver and cargo. A huge palm tree is shown in the middle distance, and a mountain range beyond. The artist probably was Philip Little (American, 1847-1952). A small route map is printed verso. Right edge is slightly soiled, upper and lower right corners slightly bumped. One shee of blank stationary of the Constantine Line is slipped inside. Overall 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 in.
