overall: 6.5 x 4 .
A "Cunard White Star to Europe" baggage tag with an image of the QUEEN MARY on the front. The Cunard White Star name was no longer used after 1949, so this tag predates that. It was printed in the US, but gives the Cunard pier numbers in New York, Boston, Halifax, and Montreal, so it might have been used on other Cunard ships besides the QUEEN MARY. The instructions at the top explain that trunks should arrive the day before sailing and are accepted two days before sailing. The bottomof the tag says "FOR HOLD/NOT WANTED IN STATEROOM," so this is for checked luggage rather than cabin luggage. The tag is in pristine condition despite its age, and it still has its string.
