A luncheon menu from the QUEEN MARY for June 7, 1936, on the return leg of its maiden voyage. The menu options are extensive and diverse, with options to suit British, American and Continental tastes. The chef's suggested menu was smoked salmon, minestrone, Spanish omelette, braised beef, apple and blackberry pie, and Neapolitan ice cream. The cover is turquoise with gold details and an image of an art deco mural panel in the ship's ballroom, by Anna K. Zinkeisen, one of a set titled The Four Seasons and featuring Adam and Eve. Sisters Anna and Doris Zinkeisen were well-known Scottish artists and glamorous fixtures of London society, and they were commissioned for the interior design of portions of the ship as well as to create large murals for several spaces.
