One of a set of 8 photographs of the MORRO CASTLE taken on September 8, 1934, the day of the disaster, after the wreck had grounded off Asbury Park. This one shows people gathered to see the bow of the wreck. The ship's name and the date 9-8-34 are written on the front in red pen, and on the back it says "The 'Morro Castle' Sep. 8, 1934. N.B. Note the steam coming from the overheated metal."
