One of a set of 8 photographs of the MORRO CASTLE taken on September 8, 1934, the day of the disaster, after the wreck had grounded off Asbury Park. This one, probably taken from the convention hall, shows the side of the wreck. The ship's name and the date 9-8-34 are written on the front in red pen, and on the back it says "The 'Morro Castle' Sep. 8, 1934 P.S. Note the shapes of the lifeboats and the state of the paint on the boat."
