A photograph of the MORRO CASTLE wreck where it has come aground at Asbury Park. There is a crowd watching, but unlike in most photographs they are staying on the boardwalk rather than going out on the beach. The ship is still heavily smoking, but the sun is just rising, suggesting this was taken the morning after the disaster, September 9, 1934. A stamp on the back includes the date when it was developed, September 13.
