Page from the album of Dr. Blackmarr, with photograph taken from the deck of the CARPATHIA on the day the ship rescued the TITANIC survivors. Dr. Frank Blackmarr was a passenger on the CARPATHIA and documented the day of the rescue. The photograph shows the ocean with the CARPATHIA's wake in the foreground and, far in the distance, several icebergs and a thin white layer along the horizon that suggests the ice field. On the photograph, Dr. Blackmarr has written "Solid Ice/temples part of/see table for height." Below this, arrows point at the individual features with estimates of how high they are, 250 feet and 200 feet for individual icebergs and 90 to 100 feet for the solid ice layer. On the album page above the photo is written "Not Published."
