Projectile constructed from a palm frond stem or similar material with a curving and barbed point. This projectile’s shaft is smooth from its point until approximately 3/4 the distance to the end, where part of the leaves have been left intact as fletching. Undoubtedly similar in style, construction, and provenance as 2010.11.435. Donated to the collection in a loosely-wrapped bundle held together by a loosely-wrapped shoelace and kept together despite significant differences in style. Five shafts are bamboo or similar reed. All species unidentified. Dates and locations unknown. Overall: 26 3/4 x 1/8 x 1/8 in.
