Hafted Projectile (Broken, Aft Section)

Broken projectile in two sections. Bamboo or reed shaft displays a notched end to accept a bowstring. Fore-section is a tapering wooden spear approximately 18 inches long with a reduction at its base to fit snugly inside the shaft. The haft is a tightly-wrapped plant fiber. The entire projectile is darkened by an unknown process (likely stained or charred). Similar to group of projectiles 2010.11.439. All species unknown. Date and location unknown. Aft Section: 18 1/4 x 3/8 x 3/8 in.
