A postcard addressed to Mrs. Alex Bedrosian, 930 E. Fourth Street, Boston Mass. It was mailed from Brunwick Georgia by seaman Joseph Miller, and is letting her know that he is sailing for Boston tomorrow and asking her to mail his laundry to an address in Hanover Street, Boston. He addresses her as "Marie" and signs the card as Joe. This is one of a group of postcards between Mrs. Bedrosian and Joseph Miller. Genealogical records show that Marie Bedrosian (formerly Marie McAdams) married Alexander Bedrosian on September 25, 1913 in Boston, and it appears that Joe Miller corresponded with Marie for several years. The cards are friendly but not particularly personal, and they often include instructions about laundry and clothing as he comes and goes from Boston. The front of this card conveys "hearty good wishes" for Christmas and New Year's. The back of the card has residue where it has been glued to paper, perhaps a scrapbook page.
