Cased daguerreotype of an unidentified white woman. Cheeks and lips have been colorized with a light pink. Daguerreotype removed from case, nothing found on reverse side; replaced in case. Case cover depicts unique scene with a castle or fort in the background, a man sailing down a river, and larger ship off the riverbank; design on both sides of case. Overall good condition. Overall: 3 3/4 x 3 1/4 x 5/8 in. (closed); 3 3/4 x 6.5 x 3/8 in. (open).
