Cruise director's certification

A "certification" card signed by the Cruise Director on the QUEEN MARY. It reads in part, "This is to certify that Mr. George Francis is a member in good standing and high proficiency in the 'Queen Mary' Rhythm Band." The back of the card has 10 signatures, including Mr. Francis-- perhaps these are fellow members of the band. On orange cardstock, undated. Cunard Line employed cruise directors as early as the 1930s. Associated with another certification card issued to George Francis, item #2020.39.7720.
