Blue cotton board shorts with patch on left leg for the Duke Kahanamoku Invitational Surfing Championship and tie closure; manufacturered by Kahala with Pineapple Tweed, the invitational surfing championship operated under the Duke Kahanamoku name between 1965 and 1984. Crest shaped patch on lower edge of the left leg bordered with embroidered red curtains and crown to reveal text and embroidery of a man surfing, reads 'DUKE / KAHANAMOKU / INVITATIONAL / SURFING / CHAMPIONSHIPS / HAWAII'. Overall excellent condition. Overall: 16 x 21 in.
