Yellow children's Duke Kahanamoku Surfer sneakers; manufactured by Lunada Bay [?] or Vans [?], circa 1966. Yellow floral pattern on exterior; design on the insole features illustration of Duke Kahanamoku standing with his surfboard, below 'THE / OFFICIAL / DUKE / KAHANAMOKU / SURFER' framed in red. Laces woven through six grommets (three on each side). Rubber label adhered to the midsole reads 'Duke / Kahanamoku / surfer'. Overall good condition; some discoloration from dirt and wear visible overall, especially on laces. Overall: 2 1/2 x 8 x 3 1/4 in. (each).
