Starboard view of fishing schooner at anchor with other schooners and a steam vessel; central schooner towing a seine boat loaded with net; light air and sails drying; coastal schooner at far right mainsail marked with advertisement "QUAKER RANGES / WIN THE RACE". Ink note below photograph "Some of the mackerel-seining fleet at Newport about 1895. (Note advertising on coaster's mainsail)". Back is blank. Overall condition good. From album of photographs (primarily schooners) collected and arranged by John F. Leavitt.
