Northern (Moseley's) Rockhopper Penguin Egg (tentative ID) (Eudyptes moseleyi); species native to the Southern Hemisphere, likely collected on Tristan da Cunha before 1885. Medium-large egg shell, intact, cream white, with a small hole where the egg was drained and the number 11 written on the shell. Overall: 2 3/4 x 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 in.
