Southern (Brown) Skua Egg (Stercorarius antarcticus); species native to the Southern Hemisphere, possibly collected on Tristan da Cunha before 1885. Light brown egg shell, intact, with dark brown spots, one crack, a small hole where the egg was drained, and the number 2 written in pencil. Overall: 2 7/8 x 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 in.
