Printed image of the USS MAINE is blurred due to flow blue technique which encouraged pigment seepage into the glaze. Basin outlined with gold paint, most has rubbed away; rim of bowl decorated with flecks of gold paint. No maker's marks. Overall: 9 1/2 x 13 x 2 in.
