In background are steamers MANHANSET, with a sign reading "PRESS BOAT", in center background is the steamer CITY OF LOWELL, also two unidentified steamers. There is a large crowd of people near the train tracks, at left. On reverse is written "New London/ Docks -Boat Races Day" above which is written, then crossed out "Date 1894-1896".
