Builder's half model for sloop TANNER [built 1855 in South Kingstown RI by John G. Saunders, 36.5 x 11.5 x 3 5 1/2 inches]; wood, port side, 6 lifts secured with wood pegs, rudder, no station marks; some losses at stern; half model varnished and screwed to backboard with two holes drilled at top and wire strung through holes for hanging; according to Saunders family research, vessel was altered in building.
