Saunders during his last illness [c.1884]; possibly conception of the 3-masted schoooner NONSUCH [built 1822]; wood, flat bottom, square stern, planks secured with nails and screws; adhesive label affixed to underside of hull reads "M-1"; some spots of white paint; provenance: John Gould Saunders, Albert E. Saunders Jr., John A. Saunders IV.
