7th Annual Sailaway cruise. Started at the Richardson Boat Company factory at North Tonawanda, New York, traveling as a fleet, to New York City via the Barge Canal and the Hudson River, coming to rest at Duffy's Landing. 40 boats were scheduled to go, but early warm weather had owners wanting there boats shipped to them early, as a result only 9 boats made the cruise. The fleet went through 35 locks on the Erie Canal. Overnight stops made at ROchester, Lyons, Brewerton, Canajoharie, Albany and Nyack. The cruise was made by 25' CARLILE II, 25' FAIRCHILD, 25 BOUNTY, 25' HARRIETT T, 25' CHAR DOT, 30' ALDYS, 32' NATIRA II, 32' VIOLA III, and an unamed 25'er (owners names available in The Rudder July1936, p.72).
