Quilt; owned by the family of Captain Timothy M. Benson; tied quilt, each block approx. 8 3/4" x 9 1/8" 'Sunflower' variation design, early 20th century; 8-pointed stars on red background, red backing, some blocks printed with scenes, including children watching ducks hatch from eggs, boy in small boat holding fishing rod; blocks sewn by hand, some machine work evident; quilt is torn along edges; brown sections of blocks deteriorated, some soiling.
