Photograph from the collection of Captain George Comer (1858-1937) of East Haddam, Connecticut. Photo taken (probably by Capt. Comer) at Chesterfield Inlet, Hudson Bay, depicts men repairing a boat following the wreck of aux. schooner FINBACK in 1919. This was Capt. Comer's final voyage. Shows gear and supplies in foreground and buildings in distance, probably used by the Hudson Bay Company or Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Typewritten on rear: "From wreck of FINBACK/ preparing boat at Chesterfield Inlet".
