Masonic (Shriners) hat, which was owned by Alonzo Ashcraft. Burgundy color wool felt. Has leather band around inside edge. Word "Sphinx" is on the front above scimitar/crescent insignia. Black tassel is affixed at top, and attached to the side with metal and glass "jewel" pin. Manufactured by C.E. Ward Co. of New London, Ohio. With bag 1982.65.49.2.
