America's Cup Preliminary Trials (1958)

Preliminary trials were used to choose potential defender's for the America's Cup race to be held in September, 1958. During America's Cup years, this was the first set of races to choose potential defender's and the first series was the Americas' Cup Preliminary Trials (7/11- 7/18), then the next series of races would be during the NYYC Cruise (8/2 - 8/9), then the Observation Series (8/16 - 8/24), and last the Final Selection (8/31 - 9/11) for the America's Cup (9/20 - 9/26).
