Dial on back graded from 0 feet to 3500 feet and printed "ROTATE/ THIS PLATE/ UNTIL THE ARROW/ ON THE CASE/ POINTS TO THE/ ALTITUDE/ OF YOUR/ LOCALITY/ PATENTED/ AUGUST 18 - 1914". Three screw holes in base for securing to a base.
