Liquid, box compass. Base is oversized. Compass is marked "Kelvin White Boston 4131". Box has hinged lid and compass corrector built into bottom. Access to corrector is through panel at front which is attached with four screws. Label on panel: "White Patent Compass Corrector.....Kelvin and Wilfred O. White Co., Nautical Instrument..."
