London."; SBR stamped on the scale (between 50°-55°); scale ivory (warping) graduated -2 deg. to +107 deg. by 1 deg. subdivided to 20', ivory vernier, tangent screw, adjustable index mirror w/3 fixed shades, horizon glass w/thumb screw & lever adjustment, sight vane w/double peep w/pivoted cover, ivory note plate on back of frame, pencil hole in brace (pencil missing); in step box, lid split & broken, 2 labels on inside of lid one over other, top label reads "ESTABLISHED 18(?)6/ ...H...DODGE/ ROBERT.../ Nautical Instrument Maker,/ No. 212 FRONT STREET,/ CORNER BEEKMAN ST., UP STAIRS NEW YORK/ Sextants, Quadrants, Telescopes, Barometers, Thermometers, Navigator's Charts/ Coast Pilots, Marine Clocks, &c., for Sale./ ..."
