Modern quintant, made by Alexander Cairns, Waterloo Road, Liverpool. Formerly owned by Capt. Lodowick F. Packer, and used by Capt. Herbert Wolfe of Mystic. Complete in case and accessories. Case has a trade label for D. Eggert & Son, NY. Includes quintant with 2 horizon glasses, 5 colored glasses, telescope standard, clamp and vernier and microscope for same . Case of mahogany with 2 altitude telescopes, one azimuth telescope for bearings, ruby eye-piece, spare tangent-screw, cleaner. Measuring to 144°.
