Sextant, ebony(?), reinforced brass(?) index arm, scale and nameplate missing, ivory vernier scale reading to 20", tangent screw, index mirror with 3 fixed square shades, horizon glass with 3 fixed round shades, sight vane and peep hole broken off. Fixed wooden handle, one brass foot, one missing. Dated ca 1790-1800, English, a ‘foul anchor’ stamped on the scale (between 60°-65°).
